Colorado Abandoned @ Koshare Indian Museum

Lamar, CO (August 1, 2017) – Colorado Abandoned, a photographic exhibition by photographers Lex Nichols and Vincent Gearhart, will be on display September through December, 2017 at the Koshare Museum in La Junta, Colorado. The Koshare Museum is located at 115 W 18th Street in La Junta, CO.
Vincent Gearhart and Lex Nichols primarily travel throughout southeastern Colorado capturing the abandoned essence of the plains in photographs. Vincent and Lex scout out abandoned buildings, neglected homesteads, junk, machinery, etc. and exhibit their enhanced photography primarily on canvas.
In the month of September, the Koshare Museum will be hosting the annual Otero Fine Arts League Art Show. On September 10th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, there will be a joint reception for the artists and guests of the Otero Fine Arts League Art Show and Colorado Abandoned. The public is cordially invited and encouraged to attend. The Nichols Family, featuring Lex, Kloey, and Daryl, will be providing the musical entertainment for this event.
Colorado Abandoned will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each piece of their photography to the Koshare Museum to be used as the institution sees fit. The artwork will be able to be purchased 'off-of-the-wall' and the customer will be able to take the piece with them. This process will be possible during regular business hours.
